What is Prouni?

A program by the Ministry of Education offering full and partial (50%) scholarships in private colleges for Brazilians without a higher education degree.

How does it work?

Selection is based on ENEM scores (minimum average of 450 and non-zero essay score) and income/education criteria.
 

Participation Criteria:

  • Full scholarship: family income up to 1.5 minimum wages per person.
  • Partial scholarship: family income up to 3 minimum wages.
  • Open to public school students, private school scholarship holders, people with disabilities, or public school teachers.

Application and Selection:

Free, online application with two course options. Candidates are ranked by ENEM scores and profile.

After the 1st call results are announced, we will contact you to schedule Hayek’s internal selection process. Upon approval, candidates must present the required documentation to verify the information submitted on the ProUni website.

Hayek Selection Process

Our selection process is divided into two phases.

Phase 1:
Math and English proficiency will be assessed through exams (20 multiple-choice questions and 2 open questions for each subject, with a minimum passing score of 70%). Exemptions are granted for specific scores on standardized tests (e.g., SAT, TOEFL, ENEM). Candidates pre-selected by ProUni are exempt from the Math exam but must complete the other steps of the process.

Phase 2:
Candidates will be ranked based on the following criteria:

  • High school transcripts (20%)
  • Student portfolio (30%)
  • 3-minute video pitch (20%)
  • Simulated class activity (30%)
